Innoprefat, de Monteloeder

Natural Food formulation for the prevention and treatment the Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome obtained with herbal extracts

Not all doctors agree on the definition or cause of the Metabolic Syndrome (MetS), but it evidently is one of the largest epidemics of our time, as it affects more than 25% of the global population, representing a growing problem for society and a major clinical challenge. Furthermore, MetS should not be taken lightly, as it can lead to several serious diseases and conditions such as type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, stroke, cancer and, especially, heart diseases.

However, most of the natural ingredients used for the treatment of MetS currently in the market are focused on treating individually the possible conditions related to the syndrome, instead of addressing them all at once and, what’s more, they are made up of substances which, despite being natural, are not authorized to be part of food products neither in the European nor in the North American market, which means they could be potentially toxic or addictive.

Monteloeder, one of our clients, set out to find a healthier, effective and economic way to treat MetS, which also prevents and treats the five conditions most commonly related to the syndrome: obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and proinflammatory state. To this end, they have used as ingredients two natural and completely innocuous herbal extracts that make their solution, Innoprefat, the best option to fight MetS.

In order to carry out their project, Monteloeder submitted their proposal to the June call of the SME Instrument phase 2, in which they obtained the requested grant with a high score of 14.36 in their results. We, at Aristos, wish to congratulate our client and we are very pleased to have taken part of the success of their proposal. We wish them luck in the development of their project.
